Your short journey to Bhutan aboard Druk Air, Bhutan's National Airline Bae 146 Jet Aerospace starts with a breathtaking views of the High Himalayan Snow peaks and enter into the Lush green valley of Paro, Bhutan. Upon arrival you will be greeted by your Bhutanese escort and transfer you to the hotel. If you lack time, this is the trip to take.

    GENERAL ITINERARY

Day 01: WELCOME TO KATHMANDU
Arrival day, our office representative greets you at Airport and transfer to Hotel, in the evening Briefing about tour.
Day 02: KATHMANDU
After Breakfast, we begin our sightseeing tour to Swoyambhunath Stupa where we can see a lot of monkeys & beautiful view of Kathmandu Valley. This old Stupa is also known as Monkey Temple. We continue our tour by visiting Bouddhanath Stupa, second biggest Stupa in the world & Pashupatinath Temple, famous Hindus Temple. In the afternoon, we begin our preparation for trekking. O/n at Hotel.
Day 03: KATHMANDU - PARO
Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be assisted and we drive through the beautiful Paro valley to the hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 04: PARO [Sightseeing]
This day, we will have the opportunity to visit and see some of the natural culture of the country including Drugyel Dzong, a ruin fort, once strategically important to Bhutan's defense against Tibet. Mount Jomolhari can be viewed beyond the ruined fort on a clear day. In afternoon, we visit the National Museum and Paro Dzong. After this, we visit handicrafts in Paro. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 05: PARO - THIMPHU
We drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan through the terraced fields and scenic countryside along the banks of the Pa Chu (Paro River) down stream to its confluence with Wang Chu, then up-valley to Thimphu. In afternoon, we visit the local handicrafts. Overnight in hotel.
Day 06: THIMPHU [Sightseeing]
T6th day is a full day of sightseeing and shopping in Thimphu. We can wander round the town visiting the shops and handicrafts shops if you wish to visit the workshop where all the handicrafts are produced. For lunch, we will return to the hotel. After lunch, we will visit National Library and drive to Motithang hotel. We take a short walk and see the Taking (Bhutan's national animal) panned up there. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 07: THIMPHU - TONGSA
7th day is the journey into central Bhutan driving to Tongsa, which will take 7-8hours. During the drive, we will visit Punakha Dzong, ancient capital of Bhutan which is at altitude of 1,350metres (4,430ft). Opposite to this great Dzong, we will see a temple which has occupied the site since 1328, when saint, Ngagi Rinchen, built it. On route, at Chendebji Chorten, we will stop for our lunch. After lunch, we continue to drive to Tongsa. A vantagepoint from the opposite side of the valley, still 14 Km from Tongsa, provides a welcome view of the Tongsa Dzong and the town. Overnight in tourist lodge.
Day 08: TONGSA - BUMTHANG
In morning, we will visit Tongsa Dzong and Ta-Dzong(watchtower) before starting the journey to Bumthang. 18 miles (29Km) from Tongsa, the road reaches the Yutong La pass at a height of 3,400meters (11,155ft). From the viewpoint, we can see Jakar Dzong"Castle of the White Bird". we will reach Bumthang in time for lunch. In the afternoon, we visit Jampa Lhakhang, Kurje Lhakhang, Tamshing Lhakhang, and Kencho Sum Lhakhang. Overnight in Guest House.
Day 09: BUMTHANG - MONGAR
In 9th day, we drive to Mongar across the Thumsingla pass at a height of 3,800meters (12,465ft) and the subsequent descent from high altitude pine forest to lush pastures and orchards which is one of the most exciting drive in all of the Himalayas. Gushing waterfalls, steep cliffs with even steeper drops, blazing flowers, and constantly changing vegetation combine to make this journey as varied, as it is beautiful. Overnight in tourist lodge.
Day 10: MONGAR - TASHIGANG
We drive to Tashigang, the eastern part of Bhutan, which takes about 4-5hours. On arriving to Tashigang welcomes respite from the seeming endless turns of the journey over the pass. The town is small with a sprinkling of shops. On the way, usually, we take a break to take a pictures of the birds and animals. Overnight in the lodge.
Day 11: TASHIGANG [Excursion to TASHIYANGTSE]
On the way to Tashiyangtse, we visit a famous Goma Kora Monastery and continue drive to Tashiyangtse. This is another place where one can find black necked cranes. A town here has developed another famous Chorten Kora, one of only two temples built in a style prevalent in Nepal and the spot where Guru Padmashambhava is believed to have had a vision that a temple and Chorten would be built. We visit Chorten Kora and Bhutanese lacquer varnishing center. After lunch, we drive back to Tashigang. Overnight in lodge.
Day 12: TASHIGANG - MONGAR
After breakfast, we visit to Tashigang dzong and drive back to Mongar. We can catch-up what we had missed during our forward journey. We take leisure in afternoon. Overnight in lodge.
Day 13: MONGAR - TONGSA
We take early breakfast and drive to Tongsa. On the way, there is a series of hair-raising bends between Sengor and Namning. The route is literally dug out of the rock and bordered by a vertiginous drop. The heavy atmosphere is made worse by the constant humidity, the frequent fog and absence of any human activity. Overnight in tourist lodge.
Day 14: TONGSA - THIMPHU
After taking early breakfast, we drive to Thimphu with a packed lunch. This drive will be through the dense forests of rhododendrons and magnolia trees. We stop for lunch at Chendibji Chorten and continue drive to Thimphu. Overnight in hotel.
Day 15: THIMPHU - PARO
We drive to Paro and on the way, we also visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest Dzong in Bhutan. Overnight in hotel.
Day 16: FLY BACK TO KATHMANDU
In early morning, you will be transferred to Paro Airport for your onward departure flight.Our representative will pick you up from the airport & transfer to Hotel. There is free afternoon. O/n Hotel. Or you can connect your onward flight to your own destination.
Day 17: KATHMANDU
Free day on your own for shopping or hanging around Kathamndu. O/n Hotel.
Day 18: DEPARTURE
We drive to airport for your Final Departure.

How can I enter in Nepal?
Nepal is a popular tourist destination in south Asia. Several airlines have direct and non-stop flights from Middle East and Asia to Kathmandu, Capital of Nepal. There are direct flights from London, Paris, Frankfurt, Doha, Osaka, Shanghi, Mascow, Bangkok, Singapore, Hongkong, Karachi, Bombay, Delhi, Calcutta, Paro, Dhaka, Lhasa, Varanasi.

Do I need to stay in Katmandu?
Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal. At least, you need to spend two nights in Kathmandu before and after your trip. In above cost, we have included two nights accommodation at 4 stars hotel on BB plan.

Do I need to join with group?
It is not necessary; you have to join with group and follow our group departure date, because private trip departures everyday upon your request and requirements. You can move at your own pace and set your own schedule by not being in group..

What kind of accommodation I can have during the trip?
In Kathmandu, we do provide 4 stars hotel in Kathmandu as per your request and during the trekking, we provide you guest house which is called Tea house. Tea Houses are more like hotels, with hot showers, western food, and private rooms (twin sharing). In this arrangement overnight halts with dinner and breakfast will be in Tea-houses (Lodges) and lunches in local restaurants en-route. Furthermore as you will be staying in locally owned lodges you will be benefiting and interacting with the local community. It will give you a true feel for the Nepalese people and their lives.

What kind of meals I can have during the trip?
In Kathmandu, we do provide you breakfast and welcome or farewell dinner. All Meals on full board basis will be provided during trekking. You have to choose from menu. Freshly cooked food is served at all times (western, continental and Nepali meals are available in all places). Three meals a day will be provided.

Do I have pre-departure meeting?
Yes, at first, our staff will receive you at the airport and transfer to the hotel and our tour leader will brief regarding about the trip. The briefing will cover the itinerary and introduced your trek Leader.

Can I charge camera batteries along the trek?
Yes, Most of the places, you can charge batteries along the trek (per hour USD 2-3 for charging).

Can I extend my holiday?
This trek-tour can extend and there are many options and choices to extend your holiday before or after your main trip. Following trips are suggested for your holiday extensions.
